Singapore United FC Promotion Allows First 500 Fans To Feed Players

SINGAPORE—The first 500 visitors to see the Singapore United FC play soccer in their custom-built S. League Club Stadium on Saturday will actually be allowed to feed the team, team officials announced today.

“For a few dollars, children and adults will be given a handful of player feed they can throw onto the field and watch the players eat,” said general manager Bon Lee. He adds that fans should not try to feed them with their hands, though. “Although the players may not have many teeth, but the ones they do have are really sharp. Also, don’t play drums or cheer. They’ll get agitated and attack the people on the stand.”

Lee further cautioned fans not to give the players food purchased at concession stands, because that food is not good for them and can make them very sick.

Goal Keeper Nazbi Sula is said to be really excited about the event.
